Monday, November 25th – Arrived in the office and found a package on my desk. Opened it up, and it was the pair of custom hand painted shoes that I’ve won in a raffle contest for referring people (my dad’s friend) to Dolby! These shoes will be displayed in my cubicle for everyone to see. 🙂

 

Thursday, November 28th – My 2nd hoodie from AliExpress.com arrived today. This one took 26 days to arrive. Paid $12.99 for it, and I love it! It’s much better than the one that arrived on November 22nd.

  

Friday, November 29th – Got my Google Wallet card!

Saturday, November 30th – I wanted to play around with the newest Google phone, the Nexus 5, so I ordered a Mint condition one on swappa.com for $415. The package arrived today, which contained: a black 16GB Nexus 5, Spigen Slim Armor, Spigen Crystal Screen Protector, and a LG WCP-300 Wireless Qi Charger! It was such a good deal that I couldn’t pass up on it.

Also, I had to order a nano sim card adapter from Amazon for $1.63 so that I could use my iPhone 5’s sim card in the Nexus 5’s micro sim card slot. Surprisingly, this package also arrived today; the expected delivery date was Tuesday, December 3rd.

I ordered two Belkin Share Max N300 Wireless N+ MiMo Routers, with gigabit ethernet and 2 USB ports from Amazon for $25 each, but I had a $10 gift card which made the total only $40.

My routers in the house was a Netgear WNDR3400 and an old Linksys WRT54G. Since I am replacing the Linksys with this new router, I thought it would be nice to replace the Netgear one too, to have matching routers. However, the wifi range of this new one isn’t as good for the tenants in the basement, so I will keep the Netgear router and only replace the Linksys.

I installed the Tomato USB firmware but after hours of playing around with the configuration, I could not get internet speeds faster than 20Mbps. So I decided to try the dd-wrt firmware, lo and behold, I got my maximum internet speed of 50Mbps. I will keep the dd-wrt firmware even though it does not have support of the USB ports on the router.

November 9th – Got a Rain Design mStand from Craigslist for $30. It’s like new and it holds my laptop up. 🙂

November 12th – Got Cranium, Taboo, and Choose One! from Amazon for $8.99, $8.99, and $14.99. Will play these games during the Christmas parties with friends this year.

November 22nd – Got a hoodie from AliExpress.com for $14.99. Took 20 days from payment to delivery. And I’m still waiting for the 2nd sweater zip-up to come too. The size is an Asian XL, which is just a Medium in US.

 

October 24th – Got a 2TB Western Digital USB 3.0 My Passport Portable Hard Drive from staples.com for $92.43.

November 10th – Got a Guess Military Style Hooded Pea Coat, black color. Also, got a Perry Ellis reversible belt, and 2 Alfani Skinny Ties, black and navy color.
