Went fishing at Lake Chabot today with William, Andy, Herman, Kevin, and Carlton. We got to San Leandro first to eat pho at a restaurant called Sylantro. After that, we got to Lake Chabot at ~2pm and stayed til about 6:40pm. We caught absolutely nothing, but it was fun just hanging out in the sun. We went to Hometown Buffet for dinner and then I drove everyone home, except for Herman who drove himself home because his house was nearby.
June 14: Drove to San Diego with Doug and Kyle for Carroll’s graduation. Took 10 hours to get there!
June 15: Carroll’s commencement day!
Ate lunch with Carroll’s family and friends at Jasmine restaurant. His sister paid for lunch!
For dinner, we did BBQ korean at the house and then had a fun little house party.
June 28: Left SD, going back to SF. But on the way, we stopped by LA for lunch with Qui and Richard! We went to eat at SushiStop, each plate was $2.75! I got 7 plates for $21 and it was delicious. The service, however, was really bad. They got $0 tip from each of us. Anyway, it took 8 hours to get back SF.
June 17: I signed up with Simple Bank and got the debit card today.
June 19: Got a Fitbit One from Brookstone for $70! Also, got one for my dad, too!
June 20: Flew to Las Vegas with Michael on Virgin Airlines. This airplane is the best I’ve ever ridden. It has leather seats, TV’s on the back of each headrest, USB and AC ports under the seats for charging our devices, and really cool ambient lights.
Went to the Marquee Nightclub with Avicii DJing.
June 21: First night of EDC! Mike and I met with Phillip and Tiffany and we took the EDC shuttle there together.
June 22: In the afternoon, I went with Michael, Phillip, and Tiffany to the Marquee Dayclub with Avicii DJing again. It was a fun pool party.
At night, just Mike and I went to EDC for round 2! Phil and Tiff went to a Celine Dion concert.
June 23: EDC round 3! Went with Phillip and Tiffany. There, we met up Carroll.
June 24: Our flight back to SF was supposed to be at 8:25pm. It was delayed til 12:20am cause of bad SF weather.
June 27: Went on a field trip with the Dolby interns to the California Academy of Sciences! We got a Behind the Scenes Tour pass which gave us a guided tour of inside the building. Also, with this pass, we got to go in front of lines!
Went to Costco today and got a Bayside CORC-6 Metro Mesh Office Chair for $99 because my old chair is ripping apart and the padding is becoming flat.
After Costco, I went to Macy’s and got a couple of Kenneth Cole Reaction dress shirts. These were buy 1 get 1 free.
Update: I went to OfficeMax to look if they had better chairs, and I found a very nice black leather Serta Executive High-Back Chair. Normally $230, but it was on sale for $160. So, I bought this chair, and I’ll be returning the Costco one. Below is a picture of my new chair next to my old chair.
Stopped by Costco after work and picked up a 24 Hour Fitness 2-year membership for $349.99.
Started my first day at Dolby today! I’m going to be an Information Technology intern for 3 months.
