today was a big day!- i went to six flags discovery kingdom at vallejo with chinda, andrew, carroll, kyle, keizha, lynna, and lindsay! we were all supposed to meet up at joe’s (at geary and 25th avenue) for breakfast at 7am. kyle and i got there at 6:55am… it wasn’t even opened yet. the restaurant people came a minute later and opened the doors. the 2 of us sat there til 7:15am, and then i called carroll, while kyle called lynna, to ask where they were. i think they were all still at home except chinda who was at 3rd avenue and andrew was probably on the 38 bus. chinda got to joe’s at 7:30, andrew came soon after, then lynna and lindsay, then carroll at 7:45am. keizha came after we all finished eating breakfast at 8:40am… i guess she didn’t want any.

we left san francisco right away toward vallejo after we finished breakfast and got to six flags at 9:40am or so. we got a $9 medium locker to put some of our stuff in there. and we had to wait a little bit for the park to open at 10am. when it opened, the first ride we rode was MEDUSA! it was a pretty good roller coaster. right after medusa, we went to KONG, which was not bad. after that, we took pictures with daffy duck and bugs bunny! the duck blew a kiss to me when we left. i hope it was a girl in there, lol. 😀 so now we walked past the penguins, stingrays, and dolphins, and got in line for the new roller coaster: TONY HAWK’S BIG SPIN! this ride was cool; each cart can spin in circles during the twists and turns! after this, we went to VERTICAL VELOCITY! right when this ride starts, you get shot straight forward at like 70mph, and then you go backwards all the way up, like a 90º angle, and go back down forward. it’s pretty fun, we rode it twice.

after this ride, we walked past thomas (the train) town, past the building about sharks, and stopped at the food court area. there we saw the joker! he scared keizha twice, once while she was recording, and another time when she was trying to take pictures. 😛 so for lunch, lynna, lindsay, and chinda got nacho, fries, and popcorn chicken or something. kyle and carroll shared a $10 footlong roast beef subway sandwich. and i just ate some of keizha’s huge bag of popcorn. after eating, we went on WHITE WATER SAFARI! this is the ride where we are in a big donut in the water. we all got pretty wet here. :] carroll went back to the front, where the lockers were, to put his wet jeans in there. we got in line at SCAT-A-BOUT while we were waiting for him and he made it back in time to ride it. this ride spins around in a circle and the arms that connect to our seats also spin in a circle… kind of hard for me to explain in words. :[ anyway, we rode BOOMERANG next! its cool.

carroll and i went to a small cafe place next while everyone else went to voodoo, i think. carroll got some $6 garlic fries and i got a $14 souvenir sports bottle because it has free refills for the whole day.

while i was getting my bottle refilled for the 2nd time, some lady gave us a bunch of one-time-use flash passes because her bus was leaving! these passes let us ride the coasters without waiting in line! 😀

when everyone was back, we went to shouka stadium to watch shouka, the killer whale! it was kind of weak… i was expecting shouka to jump up high and touch the red ball at the top, but it didn’t do it. :[ after the 17 minute show, all of us except carroll went to the TASMANIAN DEVIL ride! this ride spins in a circle really fast while swinging back and forth. i actually got a little sick from this one. next, we went to another water ride, MONSOON FALLS! this ride is the one where we are in a boat, and it just goes down a steep ramp and makes a huge splash. just as we were finished getting dried, we all got wet again- this ride got us more soaked than the first water one! we sat down to dry for a little bit but i was standing, and a dolphin came up behind me and gave me a hug! man, these people in costumes love me! :] soon after, we went to BUMPER BUGGIES! we all ganged up on chinda. it was hiliarious! we kept bumping into her and making her glasses fall. 😀

after bumper buggies, and still a little wet, we went to the carnival-type-games area. chinda paid $5 at this one game where the “psychic” guy gets to guess your age, birth month, or weight… and the guy guessed the age and month correctly!! :O for the weight, i think he actually guessed correctly at first, but then he changed it and it was wrong… or something like that. but either way, chinda gets a prize no matter what. the guy had to leave because someone else came back. lynna was playing with a prize there… and when we left, she said thanks and took it with her because that guy didn’t know that she didn’t play! hahah so chinda and lynna both got a prize.

next, we rode on COBRA! this was a smaller roller coaster for kids… it was ok. we still had the flash passes to use! so everyone, except me, carroll, and chinda, went to medusa and they got to go straight to the front of the line and get seats right away. the 3 of us who didn’t ride medusa again went to get a funnel cake! i bought a $7 funnel cake with strawberry for us to share. the other 5 came back from medusa and it was like 7:30pm, so we got our stuff from the locker and went back to san francisco.

at ~9pm, we arrived at in-n-out at the fisherman’s wharf for dinner. i ate 2 cheeseburgers and they let me refill my bottle with water there. chinda dropped andrew, carroll, kyle, and me off at our houses- i got home at 10pm. it was a great day today. :]

by the way, i didn’t put any sun screen lotion today… and my neck area and shoulders are red and hot right now! here’s a picture:

i stayed home today and didn’t do anything. kind of boring, huh? so… here’s what happened monday and tuesday!

july 28, monday – went to eat dessert at 10pm with lynna, chinda, carroll, lindsay, kyle, andrew, doug, and teal. lynna gave me a tshirt that she got from hawaii last week!

july 29, tuesday – big vic came over today at 2pm. we went to costco first though because he had to return a box of hamburger patties and a bag of buns that we didn’t use from the roosevelt reunion on sunday. when we came back to my house, we watched 21, hancock, and some of harold and kumar: escape from guantanamo bay. marco came over during harold and kumar but we stopped watching it and played soul calibur 4 on xbox 360. william and herman (epi) came soon after and also played it. then richard (mugen) came and we played rock band and forza motorsport 2. at around midnight, we started watching harold and kumar again because william didn’t see it yet. marco left maybe 10 minutes after the movie started. the movie finished at 2am or something and everyones sleepy…

epi and mugen fell asleep. william was sleeping too, on my bed. big vic was watching tv. everyone left by 3am.

wow i hadn’t had any time to write in my blog these past few days. here’s what happened…

july 24th, thursday – took my final for music appreciation class at 11:15am. and then went home. nothing much happened today.

july 25th, friday – took my final for psychology class at 9:30am. went home. then at like 7pm i went to kyle’s house with carroll, andrew, and doug. we hung out there all night… i helped carroll install windows xp on his brand new macbook. we played gunbound. i almost pulled an all nighter! but i went to sleep at around 7am and woke up at 9am.

july 26th, saturday – i walked home at like 10am from kyle’s house. at 1pm, i went to sports authority with my parents to buy a bike that i saw on the website. when we got there, i found out that they don’t sell the one i wanted… so i was pretty bummed because i was planning to ride the new bike today with kyle and doug and maybe carroll. anyway, i went home, bikeless. doug called me up at like 10pm, and he’s like, “me and andrew are riding our bikes outside your house right now.” what! ok! so i went and opened my garage and showed them my cool scooter and my bike from 5th grade that had no air in the tires. then doug called kyle to come to my house with a bike pump and he helped me pump my bike tires. and the four of us rode our bikes to (B) kyle’s house to drop off the bike pump, and then to 36th and irving- (C) carroll’s house.

when we got to carroll’s house, we just took some pictures of us… our bike gang! then we put our bikes in his garage because carroll had to deliver some stuff to a restaurant at taraval. we all rode in his van which only had a shotgun seat and no back seats. the back was filled with boxes and stuff because it was their delivery van. so after he delivered the stuff, we went to seniores pizza. doug, andrew, and kyle got a small pizza. after they ate, we went back to the van and doug called keizha and said we were outside her house. haha she thought we really were outside and told us to come in. so doug told her we’ll be there in 10 minutes. carroll drove to irving, and me and carroll each got a slice of pizza at irving pizza. and then we hung out at keizha’s place til 3:45am or something. after that, carroll drove us all back to his house to get our bikes. me, kyle, andrew, and doug rode back to kyle’s house. andrew had to drop off the bike he was using because it was teal’s bike and he took the 91bus home. me and doug rode back to our houses and i got home at like 5am. man riding my small 5th grade bike with only 1 speed is pretty difficult! i can’t wait to get a new bike!

july 27, sunday – i woke up at 10am and my parents drove me to 48th avenue and irving to see a bike that i saw on craigslist. it was $60 and i thought it was going to be good. but it turned out to be in bad shape with rust… next time i’ll know to ask about the condition before seeing it. after this, my whole family and i went to my grandma’s house to visit her. then we went to my uncle’s house because he said he has a bike that i can use. when i got there, i helped him put his new lcd tv on his wall mount. then he showed me his cool pretty cool bike. he’s going to buy some new pedals for it first and then he’ll let me borrow it for an indefinite amount of time… :] he’ll just ask for it back when he wants to use it. but i doubt he’ll need it anymore because he has 2 other bikes.

after that, my dad dropped me off at the children’s playground for the roosevelt reunion! i got there at 12:10pm with doug’s grill. i was surprised to see that there was some kind of indian festival going on in our spot that we’ve used before… we had to use a different spot, which was only like 50 meters away, so it wasn’t that bad. when i got there, i was the only one… richard was with big vic and nathan wong going to costco to buy food. they got to the park at like 2pm and there was only ~12 of us or something. we started cooking the food, more people came, and we had a good time. the best part is that we got to make a 15 person human pyramid! it took many tries, but we did it! you can watch the video here from richard. make sure you click ‘watch in high quality’! 😀 we finished at like 6pm. my dad came to pick me and george up. we stopped by doug’s house and i secretly put the grill back in his backyard for him. george came over to my house and we played some xbox 360… soul calibur 4 and halo 3. and he left my house around 10pm.

marco came over today after i got home from school. it’s been a while since i’ve seen him! he has a purple integra with a new clifford car alarm that just got installed. too bad it doesn’t have auto start… he said he wanted to add it but it’s illegal now because of incidents of the car moving by itself. anyway, we just played some rock band and gears of war on my xbox 360 and then he left. that’s basically it today.
